Biography

Michael Sheppard is the CEO of PTR Inc. with 16 years of market research experience, having led over 50 bespoke projects with Fortune 500 companies. He co-founded Power Technology Research (PTR) in 2016, focusing on solar, storage, battery, and e-mobility research. In 2020, he co-founded Matos, an AI-driven market research tool, which PTR acquired in 2023.

Before PTR, Michael spent eight years at iSuppli/IHS Markit in analyst and consulting roles, leading the power technology consulting group and specializing in competitive dynamics and opportunity assessments in the PV industry.
